Returns & Exchanges Policy

At The Very Idea, we want you to love your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we’re happy to help with an exchange or store credit.

Return & Exchange Window

We accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of:

  • The original in-store purchase date, or
  • The delivery date for online orders.

Eligible Items

To qualify for a return or exchange, items must be:

  • Unworn and unused
  • In original condition
  • With original tags attached
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds to original payment methods.
Approved returns will be issued as:

  • Store Credit, or
  • Exchange Only

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Sale or clearance items
  • Jewelry
  • Food/Perishables Items
  • Personal care goods/Bath & Body
  • Accessories
  • Gift cards
  • Custom or personalized items
  • Items marked down
  • Seasonal items

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can make it right.

Store Credit

Store credit:

  • Will be issued for approved returns
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash
  • May be used online or in-store
  • Store Credit must be used within 1 year of return

Right to Refuse

The Very Idea reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges that do not meet our policy requirements.
